A compact USB-C 2.0 Isolator with 1W Power Passthrough
The board is single sidded, 2 layers and 1mm thick. Total BOM cost is ~$33 CAD @ QTY 1
I made this board because most of the off the shelf options were either: too expensive, did not have usb-c or needed external power.
The main ICs used on the board are:
- ADuM3165: Used to isolate the USB 2.0 data line
- R05C1TF05S: Used to provide Isolated 5V power at 1W to the device side
- TPS25820: USB-C Source Controller and power switch
